Hi, I'm 19 and I want to start a small clothes business from home (well not entirely from home). I live in scotland, uk. I am currently unemployed have no experience with a sewing machine (but I'm a quick learner and I was thinking about getting tought by an older friend who makes dresses, it one way to start out) and I have some friends who are going to help me out. I live with my parent but I have a plan. I live on an estate with many kind of studio/ warehouse - ish places not far away. I know the landlord very well (he owns everything on the estate) I may very well get a free studio :P umn I want to start out making dresses or coats and selling them on ebay. I have a name for my shop and an icon. I just want to know from anyone who is experienced, if my plan is good? If I get far I have a friend who I will pay to make me a website (I have enough support its coming out my ears) then I want to open a shop etc I am very talented and imaginative and I have already designed many new coats, jacket and dresses. So from anyone, Do i need to know anything specific, I have already read through the business gateway and I'm very confident :} any comment would be appreciated thanks I would'nt have a problem with resident's, it very spaced out and plenty lorries go through it seeing as its a farm aswell and its next to a main road :} |
