Do you like working from home?
I am a 23 year old medical transcriptionist. I really like my job, but I only make $19 hour. I am getting married this summer and would really like to save some extra cash. I had a part time job working at a clothing store, but I found that because I got a HUGE discount, I was spending most of my paychecks there. So I applied with this company that my work sometimes hires for contract work. They have called and offered me a job transcribing part time from home. My concerns with this are 1. Am I going to get sick of typing if I do it 40 hours week at work and then at home on the weekends too?2. Am I going to be able to get anything accomplished if I am working from home with so many distractions, like the T.V., the dog, the phone, my fiance, etc.?So to all of you who work at home, do you like it? Do you get a lot done? Would you recommend it for me?I know $19 hour is a good wage, but with the cost of living, it's really not enough. After I pay my mortgage, car payment and bills, I only have about $130 left, so it's not cutting it for me. Also, I live in Canada, not the states, I have never had a problem finding a good job.....
As an independent contractor working from home, what can I write off?
I get paid through the government Child Action, CA to watch a minor. I watch him from within my house. What all can I write off? snacks, craft materials? Can i write off a part of my rent since I use the spare bedroom as the " class room" where majority of our time is spent?Also, can I write off things I buy as decorations for the " classroom" ie motivational posters, alphabet banners ect? Things I don't need but add to the atmosphere? Also, I purchased a booster seat to transport him..can I write that off?

nothing you have to pay for or pay monthly to belong to. i do belong to a few survey sites but they dont pay very much and you have to have $50 worth of earnings before they will mail you a check
